Canterbury Anniversary Day 2020

Fabulous Day today to celebrate Canterbury Anniversary Day and the Arrival of The First Four Ships.
St Saviours Holy Trinity Bells rang out across Lyttelton at 10am today, first time since the 2010-2011 Earthquakes. Those with very acute hearing thought they were able to hear the bells over the noise of the working port at Pilgrims Rock where we assembled just prior to 10am.
170 Years ago passengers on the Charlotte Jane began to disembark.

Presentation of our wreath, beautifully created by our President, and a few photos of members in costume. A lovely day was had by all and delightful meal with excellent service at The Brickworks.

Merry Christmas and Thank you.
