We had a meeting at Knight Stream School yesterday that was well attended, approx 30 members came and listened to Jill and Trevor Lord talking about their home ‘Woodford” in Papanui Road and some of the early owners that lived there.
It was most interesting. The Lords actively sort out the descendants of the early owners and listened to their stories of the house and families lives living there, along with some old photos. The Lords have restored the house sympathetically but bringing modern day ‘improvements’ to it. ie; heating and plumbing etc.
All in all it was a great meeting.
